CANTERBURY EDUCATION BOARD
OBJECTS TO TEACHERS CIRCULAR MR WILD’S STRICTURES. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 16. At a meeting of Canterbury Education Board to : day, it was decided that the leaflet dated Sept. 1931, issued by the New Zealand Federation of Teachers had been circulated without authority, and must he withdrawn. One member, Mr R. Wild, said this circular is the sort of thing you get iu low class' trades unions, from an agitator, and is not the sort of thing you expect from professional men of the status of secondary school teachers. The circular was to the effect that the Budget was to be balanced- at the expense of the children, and so on.
