MORGAN V. FAIRHALL. A QUEER DECISION, (Australian Press Association.) TIMARU, October 15. The professional boxing contest tonight between Tc-mmy Fairhall ,Timaru) and Ted Morgan (Wellington), ended sensationally in the sixth round, the referee stopping the fight In the early rounds', Morgan w. s aggressive, but he found Fairn.iM most elusive. The latter appeared •-ontent to hold his ground and a wav:- a favourable opening, which came halfway through the sixth round. He crossed his left- to Morgan’s chin, and then swung his right, the welter champion going to the boards for a count of nine. Fairhall went after his man, and again tent him-to the hoards, the referee then stopping the fio-ht. _ .
Morgan danced round the ring, piotosting, with the home in an up'roar. hooting and 'booing continued for some time and Mrean was given an ovation ns lie left the ring.
