Confirmation of a calculation by Eathcr O'Leary of Riverview Observatory that the earthquakes recorded on the seismograph on 4th October occurred at Solomons is contained in a wireless message ■from the island of Maiaita, which reported a very severe earthquake, was expci ieneed. All the European houses, and most of the other buildings at Sun were badly damaged. No lives were lost.
