NEW SHIPS FOR PACIFIC
United Press Association.—By Electrio Telegraph.—Copyright. 1 WASHINGTON, October 10. At Quincy, in .Massachusetts, the new Matson liner “Mariposa” was launched this morning in a mysterious fashion. Mrs Bishop, tbe wife of one ( of the Directors of the Maston Company. sponsored the vessel. Tbe keel of tbe “Lurline,” the third of the group of vessels to be used by the Company in the Pacific trade was laid clown last week.
