DISPOSAL OF ESTATE. ALL HIS WEALTH FOR CHARITIES LONDON, betober 7. •Sir Thomas Lipton’s estate exceeds £1,000,000. He had no heir. He bequeathed his Ostridge estate, with an endowment of £20,000 as a nurses’ hostel, in memory of his mother. Eighty thousand pounds will go to the benefit of the working-class mothers and children of Glasgow, where lie was born and opened his first shop, while the residue will be divided among the hospitals and institutions of Glasgow, London, and Middlesex. His yachting trophies are being handed over to a museum to be designated by his executors.
