JOCKEYS DISQUALIFIED
OVER FRANKLIN RACE

AUCKLAND, Oct. 6,
After a very exhaustive the Auckland. District Committee found that L. 'H. Watson, H. E. Goldfinch, F. R. Foster and K. N. Gill, jockeys who rode in the Buckland Hack Handicap, run at the meeting held by the Franklin Racing Club on 7th March, committed a breach of Rule 295 (1), and were guilty «of a corrupt anu fraudulent practice within the meaning of Rule 351 (1) (N) of the Rules of Racing, by conspiring to permit and assist the horse “Royal Survey” to win the said RuelUend Hack HtUidi-* cap ; apd it resolved that the •said It, H, Watson be disqualified for life; that H. E. Goldfinch be disqualified for 12 months j that F. R. Foster be disqualified for 12 months; and that . K. V. Gill be disqualified for three years, as from 6th October, 1931. The committee further found that there was not sufficient evidence to prove R. S. Bagby and H. E. Gray, who. also rode in the race, were guilty of being associated with the conspiracy.
