'Lhe text of the Anti-Profiteering Bill provides that if a food shortage appears likely, or if there is any unreasonable increase in the price of any article of food or drink of general consumption, the Board of Trade may regulate and deal therein. It also provides for the summary trial of the offenders. With a penalty of one hundred sterling, or three months impi isoument, with the forfeiture of profits.
