Mr F. Milner C.M.G., headmaster of Waitaki High School, and President of the Secondary Schools Association, and twice President of the Federation of Teachers, yesterday wired to tile Wellington Executive. strongly disapproving of militant tactics, and expressing the opinion that premature protests an c [ anticipatory hysterics pending Ministerial announcements of the financial position were futile and derogatory.
Interviewed, he added that teachers were not yet in a position to arrogate judgment and in view of the necessity v , ef a general sacrifice, must accept a proportionate share, reserving thenprotest for what was invidious or 1111fairlv discriminating.
