Garden Island Naval station intercepted a message which is being transmitted from Constantinople to Nairen, in Germany, saying a sand storm was responsible for Kingsford Smith’s forced landing at Milas. He is reported to be hale and hearty. A message to the Vacuum Oil Company in Melbourne, however, says the airmen is very sick.
