Tension between the church and State is considerably eased by the Pope’s acceptance of Seeura’s-, .(cabled on 14th May) resignation from the Primacy. ?'•'
The Minister of Justice, Signor Delosrios. comments that the resignation will have enormous importance as a corrective to those with wrong ideas of what Catholicism should be, in relation to the State, /apd also with Clericals, who are more concerned with politics than religion.
