ADOLPHE MENJOU SPLENDID.
IN “MEN CALL IT LOVE.” Admirers of the perfect sophisticate will find much to delight them in the sterling performance of Adolphe Menjou in Metro Goldwyn-Mayer’s “Men Call, it Love,” which will open at the Princess Theatre to-night (Thursday). Menjou is cast as a none-too-particu-lar member of a fast and fashionable, set, into whose meshes a happily married . young couple are drawn and, at hi?, suggestion, almost divorced. But when. he discovers that the young people cannot find happiness apart, he gallantly stands. aside to make way for their reconciliation. It is a fine Menjou effort, and will be generally enjoyed, although equally effective roles are portrayed by Leila Hyams, Norman Foster, Mary Duncan and Robert Emmett Keane.
“lilen Call It . Love” is a particularly fine woman’s picture, and has been splendidly produced from the brilliant stage, success .“Among the Married,” by Vincent Lawrence. The many daringly unconvential twists to the story, its. drama, clever dialogue, and laughbegetting lines will almost certainly pi-ove good fare at any theatre. Also News, Comedy, Colortone Revue. Prices 2/6, 1/6.
