The Kiwi juniors sent a team to Westport on Saturday travelling by Newman's cars. They left at 7.30 o’clock and arrived at Westport, at 11.40 o'clock after a., very (enjoyable run. The team met Westport Old Boys ill tile afternoon on the Trotting 'Club grounds, the visitors being defeated by 11 points to 6. Sumner scored a try and Walker kicked a penalty . goal for . the visitors. The game was a hard one the score being 3 all at half time. The visitors • were lentertained at a dance in the . evening, and left on Sunday afternooh at 2 o’clock on the return journey, visiting the blowholes at Punakaiki on the homeward journey, town being reached about’ 7.30 p.m.
