The Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Fields press report for the week ended 19th •September, is as follows:—WaitaUgi .No. 2 well : Drilling progress since last report: Depth reached 1953 feet, in grey shale. Motoroa 0:1 Field Ltd., report; No. 2 well produced 139 barrels of clean oil. An attempt was made to pump, but owing to a faulty valve, the pumping rods had to be pulled again, causing considerable loss of time.
