BIG ’QUAKE
IN JAPAN.
CAPITAL BADLY SHAKEN. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) SHANGHAI, September 21. A Kobe message states that a severe earthquake was experienced at Saitama, which is sixty miles north of Tokyo, at 11.20 this morning. The communications with the enpi tal are interrupted. Tokyo city was severely shaken. A tunnel on the Karuizawa railway has collapsed. DAMACE REPORTED, TOKYO, September 21. Some damage was done to buildings at Yokohama. Watermains burst up country Eleven persons are reported killed.
