Air Mahon’s death took place recently at Melbourne. Mr Roland Green, the member of the Country Party, who also is an ex-soldier, said that he dissociated himself absolutely from the- motion, saying that although the late Mr Mahon has served constituents vvell lie ultimately fell from Australian sentiment, and was expelled for having, in a speech on Ireland, some years ago, referred to “this bloody accursed Empire.” The motion of coudoleiiec was carried in silence by the House, MiGreen having retired from the House.
