ANNUAL CONCERT
OF HOKITIKA DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL. CROWDED ENTHUSIASTIC AUD.ESCE. The annual concert in aid of the school funds by the scholars of the Hokitika District High School took place in Princess Theatre last evening, the building being crowded to the doors. The first item commenced at 7.45 p.ni. and it was 11.20 p.m. when the National Anthem was sung, the length of the programme militating against the enjoyment of patrons. The programme was submitted under the baton of Miss Anna Duff who is to be complimented on the general success of the entertainment which enabled the capabilities of the scholars of all the standards to be brought forward, the programme being a well diversified one. There were many interesting scenes, the comicalities of the younger people causing special amusement at times. The programme was as follows :

To-night at 7.30' o’clock* the whole entertainment will be repeated, and those who did not see. it last evening are recommended to take this oppoitunity of witnessing the gr-nt programme presented so successfully last evening.
