LONDON, September 16. Stainforth, in a practice flight in the record breaking seaplane, fitted with a new propellor, turned turtle when landing in Southampton Water. He appeared to be landing perfectly, when suddenly a cry went: —“He’s gone”, but before rescuing speedboats reached the machine, Stain.orth emerged beneath the plane, and climbed .on to one of the floats and waved re-as-suringly to the shore.
