WOMAN’S £loo DEBENTURE
•MYSTERIOUS FINDING. AUCKLAND, September 10. Seven years ago an Auckland woman lost a £IOO Auckland Hospital Board debenture. The years passed, and? after an exhaustive search the debenture, was given up as lost, ...although the woman has frequently made inquiries regarding it at the board’s office. The debenture has now turned up as mysteriously as it vanished. It was found in a refuse bin m the vkin.ty of Queen Street this week.
All that is Ini own is that it was handed to the chairman of the board with the explanation that as his signature appeared on the face olf it he probably would be able to restore it to its rightful owner. A letter has been forwarded to the owner of the debenture advising her of its recovery. In addition to having her £IOO investment returned to her, she will be entitled to collect seven years’ interest, amounting t<> £3B 10s,
