CRICKET 'COACHING. —4 NO OVERSEAS PROFESSIONAL. (By Telegraph—Per Press A ssociation) AUCKLAND, September 10. The Auckland Cricket Association has decided not to engage an overseas professional for next season. This decision was arrived at after iengthy consideration ot the association s finances. Generous bodies had prom is. d donations to the fund, but the committee did hot feel justified in either asking them to fulfil their promises or in committing! the association to further heavy expenditure until the present financial depression has passed. An endeavour will be'made to procure the services of local players, active or retiil'd, to undertake the coaching oi at least 1 the primary school boys. The management and coach committees expressed complete satisfaction with A. F. Wensley’s work during the last two seasons.
