Following oil a two days’ conference between President Hoover, and the Governor of the United States Federal Reserve Board, Mr Meyer, and also leading personages in the wheat and the cotton trades, it became known, that the President is seriously considering the creating of banking credits for the export of cotton, and possibly of wheat. ( President Hoover is also considering a proposal from the Egyptian Government for an international cotton conference. Various plans to improve the situation of the two staple commodities were discussed at the conference. The curtailment of the acreage set in wheat and cotton by law was rejected, as being unconstitutional.
