The American Government is thoroughly lriendlv towards Signor Grandi’s conception, and is prepared to exercise its influence on behalf of any movement which will aid the prospects of the Disarmament Conference, but America perfers for the present, that the situation surrounding the forthcoming Disarmament Conference shall be kept fluid. MEXICO JOINS LEAGUE. MEXICO CITY, September 9. The Mexican Senate,‘on Wednesday, unanimously ratified Mexico’s acceptance of an invitation to join the League of Nations.
