George Leslie Stewart sought a dissolution of his marriage with Annie Sharp Stewart. Richard Martin was named as co-respondent. The case was. undefended. Mr A. A. PROOF OF DEBT A motion by John McCreancr for , proof of debt of £922 19s lid, which ’was repudiated by the Official Assignee, in the bankrupt estate of Malcolm McLean, Mr W. J. Sim, of Christchurch, appeared for McCreanor, and Mr A. A. Wilson for the Official Assignee. The claim arose, out of the sale of a business, in 1921. by McCreanor to McLean, who had since filed in bankruptcy. His Honour, with proof admitted for £3OO decided accordingly, and. iordered the parties to pay their own costs.-- , A REEFTON WILL DISPUTED' The case of Peter Cog’.an v. John Coglallj both of Renton, was writ of summons in' respect to the will of Eliza Coglan. After ft lengthy hearing an agreement was arrived at us follows : The defendant is to purchase the plaintiff’s share at valuation; each party is to appoint a valuer, with an umpire to be agreed upon to settle any^. . , point of disagreement. In the event of defendants not completing purchase on the terms stated, the property is to be sold by public auction on terms and conditions of sale that are to be settled by the Registrar of the Court, and the proceeds are to be' distributed according to the interests of the beneficiaries. UPHAM TRAGEDY This morning the Coroner, Mr Fox 1 gave his reserved verdict touching the \ death of Frederick Upham, who was found dead in a shop in Palmerston Street on August 7tli. The verdict was that death was due to ,a bullet penetrating the heart, which bullet was fired from a rifle by his wife, Eva Maud Upham. Prior to her removal to Sunnyside Mental Hospital, Mrs Up* ham saw her children at the Police Station here.
