ACCIDENTS FATALITIES

INQUEST VERDICT. 'By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 10. An inquest was held to-day on Frank Wilfred Wei lie, 35, married, who was crushed between a lorry and a car at Evans Bay on August 20. Evidence was given by the lorry driver, James Phillip Finlay, who stated that he offered deceased a tow rope which broke, and deceased was crushed when the lorry was hacking to the position again. Deceased informed his father that lie started to pull the car towards the lorry, thinking the lorry was stationary. The lorry driver was unable to see what was happening owing to the load on the lorry.

Coroner Salek said lie was unable to attach any blame on the driver of the lorry.
