SIX-MONTHS-OLD OFFENCE. HASTINGS, September 8. As a result of an inquiry into the running of the first hurdle race at the combined meeting of the Gisborne and Poverty Bay Racing Clubs on March 12, disqualification for twelve months was imposed upon J. Walsh, the rider of Purseful, L. Mathieson, the rider of Tall Timber, and C. M’Govern, the rider of Whakaari. The finding was that the horses had not been run on their merits. Ihe disqualification dates from Septenilvei 4.
