Competition was irregular, with a slight easing .in, values. Best heavy steers sold to £l4 7/6, heavy £lO/5/-, to £l2/5/-, prime £9/5/- to £lO/2/b, medium £6/2/6 to £7/17/6, inferior from £5/5/. Best heif-, ers sold to. £ll/12/6, prime £7/5/-, to £B/5/-; medium £G,Uf& te £7 ; bestcows £ll/12/6, prime £7 to £B/2/6, medium £4 to] £5/5/-, inferior from £2 12/6. * ‘ There was a small yarding of store sheep, all being local lots.' The market was steady for quality lots. Inferior consignments were 'hard to sell. There was a small entry of lat sheep, a big proportion being good heavy weathers. Very few ewes were offered.
