HOKITIKA CLUB. A meeting was held in Keller’s Room on Monday evening. Present: Messrs F. McGregor (ciiair), J. Johnson, j. Stafford, R. Furness, R. Collett, O. Hahn, M. McGavin, R. Belt, D. Dowell, E. Heenan and Secretary. The minutes were react and confirmed. Mr McGregor advised that the West Coast itughy Union Had arranged, as requested, tor the football fixtuies for Saturday ’ 19th to be Rivals v. Excelsiors at 1.30 p.m.

Weight Steward—A. Yarrall. • . Gong Steward —J. Stafford.. Ring Stewards— : J. Atkinson. DBreeze, E. Best. Call and Glove Stewards —D. Dowell, E. Heenan, J., Atkinson. Official Seconds—R. Collett, H. Harvey D. Breeze. Draw Stewards—F. Baillie, R. Bell, and Secretary. Mr McGavin moved and R. Collett seconded, that the Mayor be written to asking for the closing of business premises from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the date of the tourney. The motion was heartily supported and carried. Mr McGavin advised that -Mr Ten* nent had donated a ■ medal for the most scientific boxer. Received with thanks. hv-. :
