OTAGO CONTINUANCE PARTY. POSTPONEMENT OF POLL. DUNEDIN, September 4. The work of organising the Otago district by the Continuance Party has been discontinued as a result of the postponement of the licensing poll. Twenty men were engaged on the work which ceased last Saturday, but each man received one week’s extra wages. Approximately £2OOO had been spent by the party in Otago when, the work was abandoned. The Restoration Party in Invercargill had spent £SOO on organising up to the time that the Government announced that a local poll would not be authorised.
