LONG SKI TRIP

NEAR MOUNT COOK

TIMARU, September 7,

Four members of the Tasman Ski Club, Messrs L. Mahan, L. Murray (Timaru), L. Bryant and A. Brostad (Guide at The Hermitage) undertook a trip from the Malte Brun Hut- to the Lilybank Station, a distance of 35 miles, accomplishing the journey in fifteen hours, for thirteen of which they were on skis. The party traversed country not previously traversed on skis. The trip was the longest ever undertaken in this part of tiie country.
