WORCESTERSHIRE FOSTERS. PARTENTS’ DIAMOND WEDDING. LONDON, Augujft 17. The diamond wedding of the Rev. Henry FoH: r and Mrs Foster, parents of the world’s most famous hand of cricketing brothers, was celebrated at Abcrdovev. 5 The King and Queen telegraphed them, wishing they might long he spared to their family', “whose marvo’lous cricketing record is the admiration of (ill lovers of the game.” Six of the Foster brotfiejs came out of Malvern,, the school in \the heights of Worcestershire, and played for the county. So many were there, indeed, that the county became known as “Fostcrshire'.-’*’ Tho. most famous is “R. E.,” who made the then record test match score of 287 for England on the Sydney' Cricket Ground during the 1903-4 tour. He died in 1914.
