SPANISH UNREST

BARCELONA, September 5 The general strike has resumed. BARCELONA, September 6.
The terrorist leaders have shown an inability to restrain the mob passions which they themselves have loosed. This fact has caused a resumption of the civil warfare. The! strikers, disregarding the official ebbing off of the strike, began to-da‘y' by overturning its buses and tearing up , the tramlines.
The Civil Guards, when trying to disperese them, met a fusilade of shots.
The strikers rushed to the Union headquarters, where, with rifles, revolvers, machine guns and ample ammunition, they kept a large force of police and troops at bay for six hours-
Th.- strikers finally surrendered, but c-n’.y when the troops threatened to bring up artillery and blow the whole building to pieces. Firing has continued from other rooftops, the police retaliating with machine guns. They killed manv of the snipers. The complete casualties are unknown. The bubonic plague now threatens the city. PLOT FOR COMMUNIST RISING' MADRID, September 0. Captain Rexach F'ranchos, a former aide, has been arrested. He is charged with attempting to create a Communist uprising among the Jaca Garrison. ■?
