AUSTRIA RENOUNCES. (United Preuo Association—By Elect™ leiegrapii — Oopyrighi • VIENNA, Sept. 1. Despite an earlier denial, it is understood that the Austrian Foreign Minister lias agreed to announce at Geneva the renouncement of the Aus-ro-G.erman Customs Union Plan. The idea is to keep the door open, for a later renewal for the project if the French proposals for the lowering of European barriers are deemed to be insufficient.
