Mollison, the Australian pilot who, recently established a new Australian-England flight record of 8 days 21 hours 25 minutes, will make an attempt on the London-Capetown record in October. He will , use an allmetal machine. Mollison made a record flight from Stag Lane aerodrome to Renfrew aerodrome, Glasgow J a bout 400 miles), in 3 hours 20 minutes. He emerged from a thick mist and alighted in the presence of his mother, stepfather and friends, who rushed from a luncheon of the Scotish Flying Club in the nick of time to greet him. Mollison, after lunch, gave his mother a flight. An enthusiastic crowd mobbed him before his jdeparture by motor car. He will fly to Inverness later to visit his grandfather, and wii return to Glasgow in the middle of September. LThe London-Capetown record was established by Commander Glen Kidstoai. Lieutenant Cathcnrt-Jones anti L. Johnson, wireless operator in six days 10 hours. Commander Kidston was subsequently killed in a crash in South Africa.
