In order to meet the difficulties with which many students are faced at present, the Auckland University College Council decided at the beginning of x.ne year to accept payment of class fees' where necessary in small regular sums at intervals. The need for a provision of'this kind has been shown by the numbers of students who have availed themselves of the privilege, and are paying their fees by instalments, Une result is that a large amount of extra 'bookkeeping on the office work has been increased to meet the altered position. It is the endeavour of the College Council to see that no really good student shall be turned away on account of lack of means.
