CREDIT MAINTAINED. The placing of £650,000 of Treasury bills in London was, of course, a comparatively small item in the great money market, but there is ground for satisfaction in the fact that the Dominion obtained short-term money at a cost of only Is 3d per cent, above that paid by the British Govermnerft. It was an encouraging indication that the credit of the Dominion has been well maintained, thus ensuring favourable terms for this temporary issue.— Christchurch Times,
