FORTHCOMING ENGAGEMENTS
WELLINGTON, August 26.
This morning the Speaker of the (House of Representatives, accompanied by representatives of each ot the political Parties, waited upon his Excellency at Government House and presented to his Excellency the Addrcss-m-reply. ’Phis evening his Excellency was present at the Wellington Philosophical Society's meeting. To-morrow the Governor-General, accompanied by Lady Bledisloe, will open the Wellington Winter Show. His Excellency has informed the Wellington Football Association that he and -Lady Bledisloe will attend the Auckland v. Wellington match at the Basin Reserve on Saturday.
