MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
LABOUR SUFFERS DEFEAT.

(Received this day at 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, August 28. The Municipal Elections were held throughout the State arid were remarkable for the defeat of many Labour candidates. In Port Melbourne, which is considered a Labour stronghold, only one of four Labour candidates were returned.
