A MANFESTO

BY LABOUR PARTY.

ATTACK'ON COALITION

United Press Association— By Electric

Telegraph.—Copyrignt.)

(Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, August 27.

The Trades Union Congress, Labour Party Executive and Parliamentary Labour Party Committee have jointly issued a manifesto, the signatories including Henderson, repudiating all responsibility for the “Coalition Government,’’ which was formed without the peoples authority, to attack the standard of living in order to meet the situation due to the policy of private banking interests, which the public do not control The Government are seeking completely to change the national policy, primarily because financial interests have decided that Britain is 4 setting a bad example in taxing the rich to provide the poor with necessities and also attacking the unemployment benefits, because the dole strengthens resistance against wage reduction, while the demands are not compatible with sacrifice from the wealthy. The financial crisis is immeasurably exaggerated and alarmist newspapers statements suggesting that Britain is on the verge of bankruptcy is untrue. The manifesto reiterates that- the economy proposals are unjust and unsound and will increase unemployment, and reduce the masses consuming power, causing an embittered conflict and industrial chaos. ' , The Conference passed a resolution urging all sections of labour to immediately strengthen the constituencies organisation and provide finance to enable a majority to be secured at the general election.
