WHARF BOOKMAKERS FINED. AUCKLAND, August 25. “They are not in a very big way but they are like the blowfly—they are p’erpetuals amongst us,” said L> e_ tective-Sergeant Kelly this . morning, handling the prosecution against Robert Francis; Singe, aged thirty-eight years, and 'Stuart Casley, aged lortybnel who appeared on charges ot bookmaking on the wharves. Singe was fined £6O and Casley £SO. Both were given fourteen days in which to pay.
