Higii School met the boys of our own school in debate. A most animated and keenly fought discussion ended in a substantial win for thiT"local debating team, who acquitted themselves in excellent fashion. Simmons Craig, and Robertson spoke for the visitors and Shannon, Keller and Rutland for Hokitika. All three of the Hokitika boys spoke well, making the best possi I use of the arguments at their dis_ posal. The judge of the debate, tlie Rev. G. A.
