A dispute connected with the shearing industry was heard by the Conciliation Council ,to-day, Mr Hally presiding. Both employees and workers were applicants for fresh conditions and by common consent the discussion was on a dominion basis. If was found impossible to come to terms in regard to a number of major causes of the dispute, such as wage rates and preference, and it was decided that these and other points he referred to- the Arbitration Court for consideration.
