PAKURANGA HUNT. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, A u g. 22. Beautiful weather favoured the Pakuranga Hunt Club’s annual meeting, held to-day. There was a fair attendance. The course was slightly holding. ' The tote took £22,420, compared with £34,8711 last year. Results : Greenmount Steeples.—(2) St. Liu a* 1; (3) Lenaubin 2; (5) Mountain Lava 3. Won by six lengths; two furlongs. Time 5.20 3-5. Harri s Memorial.—(4) Land Measure 1; (1) Te Jlomai 2; (3) Penny Plain 3. Won by five lengths; live lengths. Time 2.50.
Sylvia Park Handicap.—(2) Valueless 1; (3) Emancipation 2; (4) Canpat 3. Won by two lengths; two and a-lialf lengths. .Time 1.29. Jellicoe Handicap.—(9) Malahat 1; (5) Catoma 2; (2) Gay Cockade 3. Wen by three-quarters of a length; a neck. Time 2.10 4-5.

SYDNEY, August 23. At Rosehill race s yesterday, several spring carnival candidates were engaged. Several New Zealand horses also figured prominently. Alina G. was placed second in the Granville Stakes. Love Song finished second in the first division of the Dundas Handicap, while Chide and Havaspot were placed first and second respectively in the second division of the same race, 'lhe Throe and Four Year Old Handicap first division was won by Yeilmond The New Zealand horses. Cypress and Hunt the Slipper were unplaced in the second division of the same race.
PHAR LAP RACE'POSTPONED. MELBOURNE, August 23. Drenching rain caused a postponement of the Williamstown races yesterday until Tuesday. Great disappointment wa s expressed among racing men ill all States, it being l hai Lap’s first outing in the Underwood Stakes, in which there are aiso « couple of New Zealanders, and eveiybouy is anxious to learn whether Phar Lap is as mighty as every, following his sickness earlier in the year at Adelaide.
