big river gold mines. A meeting of provisional directors of Big River Gold Mines Ltd., was held in Wellington last week, when it was reported that it would hay© been pos-. Bible for the Company to have- gone to allotment on its minimum subscription of £IO,OOO, and to have commenced active crushing operations at.the mine. It was decided, to postpone allotment until the full issue to the pubic—viz. £16,000 —was subscribed, as this would enable the Company to apply for immediate fisting of the Stock Exchanges, thus making the shares immediately ' negotiable. This procedure would also ensure the Company having ample development capita for the Working of the mine, and woud safeguard the interests of shareholders. With £IO.OOO - already in hand, the future of this Company appears to be assured.
