“ANTI-DEPRESSION 1 * STYLES.
CHICAGO, August 6
Amos Parrish, a well known arbiter of fashions, addressing & convention of 1000 merchants front aR over the States, announced that “anti-depres-sion” styles would rule feminine attire this autumn. '
“Elation-—that’s the word describing the, new styles for women,” ; j ; he said. “Everywhere they are} determined to get a,way from anything sombre. They want their attire snappy, ... colourful, and attractive.”
Mr Parrish added that light silks and woollens would be the rule. Skirts would be 12 inches from the floor in the daytime and full length, in the evening. Collared conts would he worn with shoes that harmonised, but aid not necessarily match. In brief, the fashions would he “good for what ails the world.” •
