BROADCASTING. Whether New Zealand would be better served under the system in vogue in Britain than, it is at present is c)uest l icMa''ble. Tit will still be necessary to maintain four main stations, with the consequent division of expenditure, so that it will be impossible to build up a central service strong in talent. Indeed, it is the fact that talent in the country is limited that will haaidicap the controllers of broadcasting under any system. —Christchurch paper.
