WAIKATO PLANE,
LUCKY FORCED LANDING

HAMILTON, August 12
A private three-seater monoplane, owned and piloted by Mr S. Blackmore, of Hamilton, made a forced landing near the Xerapa Aerodrome this evening. The pilot, with a passenger, Mr W. McKenzie, of Te Awamutu, wore returning from a flight. ■When over Hamilton the engine stalled. They could not reach the aerodrome as there was a high wind. They landed on a rough slope, the plane being stopped by a fence, twenty feet from a house. The undercarriage was broken. The occupants were unhurt. MISSING AVIATOR, HIS BODY FOUND. SYDNEY, August 13. The body of J. L. Trist of the New Guinea Airways, who has been missing since May, was discovered in a jungle, his aeroplane being wrecked. There are no particulars.
