, LONDON, August 11. Selected from Russians lor their conspicuous service on behalf of the Five Year Plan, a contingent of ovei i,<or.et workers have reached London. They arrived in pouring rain aboard tile Russian steamer Ukraine. ’I he party incliuhs pretty girls, strong shouldered,’ with tanned complexions, and wearing overalls and berets. They were mixed with bearded moil, also fresh-faced youths, stout elderly ladns, and plain young women in homespun and Russian boots. All ot them are sharing two (publications, namely, none of them have been outside Russia previously, and they all represent the cream of Russia’s “Economic Warriors.’’ They are making a month's tour as a reward for their service. They are visiting, in addition to 'London, the cities of Genoa and Constantinople. They will not visit the hotels, but they are living on board the steamer during the whole voyage, in accommodation that is rivalling that aboard the crack Atlantic liners.
