NO EXEMPTION. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 10. Judgments disallowing exemptions from the 10 per cent, cut were entered by the Arbitration Court in connection with the applications by the Canterbury electrical workers, gasfitters and plumbers, metal workers’ assistants and engineers and plasterers. The judgment of the Court disallowing the application of the Canterbury Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Union was published on Saturday.
THE NIAGARA. AUCKLAND, August 10. The liner Niagara arrived to-day at 2.45 p.m. from Vancouver. KUMAR A FATALITY. GREYMOUTH, August 11. John Rochford, aged 32 years, a single man, a prospector, was found dead in his whare near Ivumare last evening, with his head party blown off, a gun being found alongside the body.
