PLOT FOR REVOLUTION

HAVANA, (Cuba), August 9
A revolutionary plot has been foiled here with the arrest’ of seventeen Oppositionist leaders, and the confiscation of the rebel arsenal.
This was effected 1 after a gun battle, in. which three revolutionaries were killed, and' seven policemen were wounded.
President Machado ha s declared martial law in the capital and in the neighbouring provinces.
