A twelve-years-old tragedy was re vealed in the Tyrolese Alps, when 'two bodies were found in a perfect state of. peservation in glncier ice, and identified as those of Professor Koban and Herr Anlawf, who were climbing the Alps in 1919 and were overtaken by n storm at night time. They sett’ed down to play cards by candle light in order to overcome the* dead’y snow sleep. Evidently they failed for a stump of candle was found with the bodies, and 'two unfinished hands of„ cards all beneath a transparent sheet of ice. *
