After knocking down two girls in Riccnrton road on Saturday evening, Alfred Edwin Smith, 49, a motor engineer, was arrested, He pleaded guilty to being intoxicated while in charge of a car and was fined £ls andi costs and ordered to take out a prohibition order. The condition of one girl is serious.
